My Memories of Alan and how I will remember him.


Our meeting on the singles holiday in Corsica 2019, our lovely bike ride, swimming in the waterfall, stargazing and dancing.


My weeks visit in August 2020, our walks and bike rides, sunsets, swimming in the sea and the seaweed fight, and again in September 2020  - the rope swinging and me giggling uncontrollably (watch video with sound on), more walks and a visit to Portsmouth. Such fond, fun, happy memories.


Our facetime catch ups, the last on 23 December 2023.


I also remember Alan for


His love of holidays and travel.
His love of golf and his extensive range of golfing attire.
His bright polo shirts and coordinating shorts and how it had to be approaching zero for Alan to wear trousers! 
His love of a roast dinner.
His choccy shelf in the fridge.
His immaculately arranged shed.
His neatly labelled key fobs.
Visiting him at the Windmill where he volunteered.
His organised preparation of the packed lunches for our cycle rides and days out.


But mostly i remember Alan for his friendship, his zest for life, his playful fun nature, his sense of humour and his kindness and caring towards others.


Sorry I cant be there to say a final goodbye but I will be thinking of you.


Rest in Peace Al, the world has lost an amazing person and I will miss you.
